Hello,
As longtime readers of The Hazelnut will know, I’m passionate about exploring classic works of literature and making them more accessible to a wide range of readers. My other main focus on this Substack has been chronicling the ills of our educational system and proposing some ways to help heal it. Occasionally, I’ve published my own works of poetry or fiction, and I’ve drifted into other non-fiction topics as well, such as history and philosophy.
With that said, I wanted to cordially invite you to send me any questions or comments related to the themes of The Hazelnut that you might have. I can’t guarantee I’ll know the answer, but I’ll do my best to respond as accurately as I can. And if I don’t know something, I’m pretty good at digging up answers.
You can send me questions or comments by email at thehazelnut@protonmail.com or by posting in the comments section below.
My hope is to compile 5-10 questions to put into a Q&A post and publish on The Hazelnut for everyone’s reading pleasure.
Areas of inquiry include (but are not limited to):
A poem or other work of literature that you’re struggling to understand.
A writer you’re curious about.
Questions about educators or educational theories.
Your opinions or questions about Trump’s activity so far in the educational sphere.
Content you’d like to see more of or less of on The Hazelnut.
Thanks you for being a reader of The Hazelnut. Your support means a lot. And if you have a friend you think might enjoy this Substack, please consider sending them the link.
Best,
Walker
